Intelligent Fly is a Blush & Ink™ publication owned and operated by Blush & Ink Studio LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. Our website is IntelligentFly.news.

In this Privacy Policy, “Intelligent Fly,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Blush & Ink Studio LLC and the Intelligent Fly publication. Blush & Ink Studio LLC is responsible for the personal information we collect and use as described in this policy.

This policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website, read our articles, use our contact form, or participate in comments. It also describes our use of Google Analytics and our plans to introduce Google AdSense advertising.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message. Submissions may also include your IP address, browser information, submission date, and the page from which you submitted the form.

We use this information to review and respond to questions, story tips, corrections, feedback, and other inquiries. Submissions may be stored in our website database and delivered to a designated Intelligent Fly email inbox. Please include only the information needed for your inquiry.

We do not currently operate an email newsletter or email subscription list. Contacting us does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.

Comments and Public Information

Where comments are enabled, we collect the information you enter in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser information for moderation, security, and spam prevention. Your approved comment, display name, and any website link you provide may be visible to other visitors. Information you include in a public comment may be copied or indexed by others.

A hashed identifier created from your email address may be sent to Gravatar to check for an associated profile image. If your comment is approved, that image may appear beside it. Gravatar is operated by Automattic; see Automattic’s Privacy Policy.

Technical and Usage Information

Our hosting, security, and website systems may automatically collect IP addresses, browser and device information, referring pages, pages requested, access dates and times, and security or error logs. We use these records to operate the website, prevent abuse, investigate problems, and maintain security.

Our analytics service also collects information about how visitors find and use the site, as explained below.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and improve our content and the reader experience. It helps us measure which articles people read, how they reach the site, and how they interact with pages.

Planned Google AdSense Advertising

We are preparing to use Google AdSense to support Intelligent Fly through advertising. As of the effective date of this policy, Google AdSense ads are not active on the site. The following explains the advertising practices that may apply when we enable them.

Google and other participating advertising providers may use cookies and similar technologies to select and display ads, measure their performance, and detect fraud. Where personalized advertising is enabled and permitted, those technologies may use your previous visits to Intelligent Fly and other websites to tailor ads to your interests.

IP addresses associated with contact-form submissions may be retained for up to 90 days for security and spam prevention.

Approved comments and their associated metadata may remain stored for as long as the comment remains published, subject to applicable deletion rights and lawful retention needs.

Analytics information is retained according to the retention settings in our analytics service and our need to understand readership and trends. Retention of detailed user and event records may differ from retention of aggregated reports. You may contact us for information about our current analytics retention settings.

Technical and security logs are retained for the period reasonably needed to operate the site, investigate problems, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We consider the purpose, sensitivity, security needs, and applicable legal requirements when deciding how long to keep information.
